Windows Media Player

     Windows Media player is one kind of player for playing audio, video and viewing image on personal computers running the Microsoft Windows Operating system developed by Microsoft. In this addition Windows Media player includes the ability to rip music and copy music to compact discs and also playing music.

     In 1991 Windows 3.0 with Multimedia Extensions was released and including Media Player application was capable for playing. In 1995 Microsoft released Active Movie with DirectX media SDK and in 1996 it was renamed Direct Show.

Windows Mobile

     Windows Media Player for mobile was fist announced on January 6, 2000. It was currently known as ‘Media Player 10 Mobile.’ Windows Mobile 6 includes a copy of windows Media Player 10.
